Well, I bought BEATS off the Playstation Store today. Awesome rhythm game that uses beat tracking to let you put your own music into the game. Anyone with a PSP and a decent sized memory stick, I recommend spending $6 and downloading it. It's no Rock Band, but it's a fun game for what it's worth.

In other music game related news, the new Rock Band store was launched earlier this week, offering a simple new interface that includes categorically arranged songs, difficulty rating on each song for all 4 instruments, and the ability to preview songs before you buy. Much better than the old system IMO.

Well, turns out BEATS only reads certain formats. I can only play about a fifth of my vast music collection, so I'll have to run the other stuff through an MP3 encoder to play it.

I also found out it can be shared with up to 5 PSPs, so Seraph if you want it just bring your PSP next time you come over and I'll give it to you.
